A few of the styles direct-to-wall printing handles well — from full photographic murals to clean brand graphics and subtle textures.
These are illustrative examples of what direct-to-wall printing can produce — they are not presented as our own completed projects. Your free mock-up shows your own design on a photo of your own wall.
The basics
Think of a high-resolution printer, except instead of printing onto paper, it prints your design directly onto the wall.
Our specialist vertical printer travels along the surface, applying UV-cured ink directly onto the wall. The ink cures almost immediately as it's printed, creating detailed artwork without wallpaper, vinyl sheets or traditional hand painting.
For business
Create high-impact branding, artwork and interiors without the disruption of traditional decorating. Printed directly onto the wall, in place, in your own space.
Where it works
A wall is the cheapest square metre of marketing you own. Here's where direct-to-wall printing earns its keep.
Large logos and brand statements that land the moment someone walks in.
Feature walls and custom artwork that turn tables into content.
Large motivational graphics and branding that make the room feel like an event.
Bedrooms, reception areas, corridors and feature walls.
Company values, branding and creative interiors that people actually notice.
Campaigns, product imagery and immersive in-store displays.
Educational artwork, murals and graphics built to survive a corridor.
Showroom brand walls, marque graphics and handover areas worth photographing.
Mirror-wall backdrops and photogenic corners built for the shots clients post.
Calm, clean waiting-room walls and clear wayfinding without clinical posters.
Show units, hoardings and shared areas — finished spaces that sell faster.
Repeatable branding rolled out consistently across every location.
For homes
Wallpaper is a commitment: pattern repeats, seams, hanging, and the hope it still looks right in five years. Printing directly on the wall skips all of that — and lets you use an image that's actually yours.
What can we print?
Comparison
Wallpaper, vinyl and painted murals all have their place. Direct wall printing offers a different way to create large-scale, completely custom artwork.
| Feature | Wall printing | Vinyl graphics | Wallpaper | Hand-painted mural |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Custom design | Excellent. Photos, artwork, logos, illustrations and detailed custom designs. | Very good, although the design is printed or cut onto separate material. | Good, but often based on predetermined panels or patterns. | Excellent, dependent on the artist and style. |
| Seams and joins | No applied sheets or panels, as the image is printed directly onto the surface. | Large installations may require separate pieces. | Large murals commonly use multiple drops or panels. | No material seams. |
| Installation | Printed directly on site with relatively little disruption. | Requires preparation, positioning and application of the material. | Requires measuring, cutting, adhesive and installation. | Usually requires an artist working on the wall for a longer period. |
| Drying time | UV ink cures during printing, so there is essentially no traditional paint drying period. | No drying period for the printed material, although installation takes time. | Depends on the adhesive and the installation. | Paint normally requires drying between stages and coats. |
| Detailed photographic images | Excellent. | Excellent. | Excellent. | Possible, but highly dependent on artist, time and budget. |
| Textured and unusual surfaces | Can work on many suitable surfaces including painted walls, plaster, concrete, brick, wood, glass, tile and metal, subject to assessment. | Suitability depends heavily on the surface and the adhesive. | Generally performs best on prepared, relatively smooth walls. | Can work on many surfaces with suitable preparation. |
| Large scale | Up to approximately 3.75m print height with effectively unlimited horizontal length, subject to access and machine positioning. | Large scale possible, often using multiple sections. | Large scale possible using separate drops or panels. | Large scale possible, but typically more labour intensive. |
| Personalisation | Every project can be completely unique. | Highly customisable. | Custom printing is possible, although off-the-shelf designs are common. | Completely custom. |
Every method above does something well. Which one suits you depends on the wall, the image and the budget — if you're weighing them up, ask us and we'll give you a straight answer.
Scale
From a logo behind reception to a mural stretching across an entire commercial space, the design can be scaled to suit the wall.
How it works
Send us a photo and approximate measurements, or use our quick quote calculator.
Already have a photo, logo or piece of artwork? Great. If not, tell us what you have in mind and we can discuss the options.
We'll review the wall, prepare the artwork and, where appropriate, create a visual mock-up so you can see how the finished design could look.
We bring the wall printer to your home or business and print the approved design directly onto the surface.
UV light cures the ink during printing, so there's no lengthy wait for the finished artwork to dry.
Surfaces
Direct UV printing can work with a wide range of suitable vertical surfaces. Every project is assessed before printing, because surface condition and preparation still matter.

FAQ
Direct-to-wall printing uses a specialised vertical printer to apply an image directly onto the surface. UV light cures the ink during printing, creating detailed artwork without applying wallpaper or vinyl over the wall.
Yes, and we'd encourage it. The images on this site are illustrative examples of what the technology produces rather than our own completed projects — so the useful thing is to see your wall.
Send us a photo through the quick quote and, where appropriate, we'll prepare a free visual mock-up of your design on your actual wall before you commit to anything.
It depends on the size, artwork, wall colour and surface. Many feature-wall projects can potentially be completed within a day. We'll give you a clearer time estimate once we've seen your wall and design.
Not in the same way as conventional paint. UV light cures the ink as it is printed, meaning the artwork is essentially ready once the printing process is complete.
The UV printing process is almost odourless and involves much less of the traditional paint or adhesive smell associated with some decorating methods.
The system can print up to approximately 3.75 metres high, subject to the room and access available. Horizontal print length is effectively unlimited, because the printer can continue along the wall.
Yes, subject to the surface being suitable. White ink can be printed beneath the design where required, helping colours remain bright on dark or strongly coloured walls.
Many surfaces can potentially be printed, including painted walls, plaster, brick, concrete, wood, glass, tiles and metal. Every surface is different, so we'll assess the wall before confirming the project.
Absolutely. Send us the highest-quality original version you have and we'll check whether the resolution is suitable for the size you'd like.
Don't worry about technical things like PPI or DPI. Send us the best version you have. We'll assess it and let you know whether it can be enhanced or whether we'd recommend another source image.
Yes. Logos, branding, photographs, typography and custom graphics are ideal applications for commercial wall printing. If you have the original vector or high-resolution logo file, send that where possible.
Yes. You don't need to arrive with print-ready artwork. Tell us what you're trying to achieve and share any inspiration, branding or photographs you have, and we can discuss the best approach.
It depends on the project. Vinyl is a very useful product, particularly for temporary graphics and some signage applications.
Direct wall printing is different because the image is applied directly to the surface rather than attached as a separate sheet. That means there are no vinyl panels or joins within the printed artwork, which can be particularly attractive for bespoke interior designs and large feature walls.
Again, it depends on what you're looking for. Wallpaper is a great option for repeating patterns and traditional wall coverings.
Wall printing is particularly useful when you want a completely custom image, an unusual shape, a photograph, company branding, or a design that doesn't need to be divided into traditional wallpaper drops.
UV wall prints are designed to be long-lasting. How long depends on the surface, the environment and how much light and wear the wall gets.
We'd rather not put a number on it before we can stand over it, so we'll confirm what we expect for your specific wall — and exactly what we commit to — as part of your quote.
The printed surface can generally be gently cleaned, although the appropriate method depends on the wall surface and finish. We'll provide care guidance after installation.
Potentially, yes. Outdoor projects depend on the surface, weather exposure, access and the protection required. Send us a photo and we'll assess it individually rather than guess.
Yes, and we actively encourage it. If several walls are being completed at the same property during the same visit, we can usually offer better project pricing than treating every wall as an individual job. Our quick quote calculator works multi-wall projects out for you.
Absolutely — commercial work is a core part of what we do. We can discuss projects for offices, restaurants, hotels, gyms, retail spaces, schools, salons, clinics and other commercial environments.
For larger, multi-wall or multi-location projects, ask us for tailored commercial pricing.
Our current indicative pricing starts from €120 per m², with a minimum project charge. Larger and multi-wall projects can qualify for reduced pricing, and dark walls may cost more where a white ink layer is required. Prices exclude VAT.
The quickest answer is the quick quote calculator — about 30 seconds, and no contact details required.
No. Approximate measurements are completely fine for the initial estimate. We'll confirm everything before printing.
